Apple apparently was not surprised to respond to Adobe’s decision to halt efforts to develop Flash for the iPhone. In fact, Apple confirmed his attitude to not support the presence of Flash on the platform makes.

“Some people have been using alternatives, such as HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and H.264 (all supported by iPhone and iPad) which includes an open standard, while Adobe’s Flash artificial closed and proprietary,” said Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller, as quoted by CNET, Wednesday (04/21/2010).

HTML5 is a revised version of the Hypertext Markup Language which is the basis for making a web. CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are used to create a website format. H.264 is a standard video compression technology used for streaming video services.
